I am running to do away with the "Good Ole Boy" system that has run this county for over one hundred years. We need a REAL government that has Real laws & procedures. This should also include penalties when the laws & procedures aren’t followed. In other words we need a Charter. This will direct those elected to govern how to govern.”

I am in the 4th district which included Northside, Southside & Millennium Center precincts.                                                                  I have been on the Johnson City Community Development Board since it’s inception in 1997. I am also a member of the Johnson City Board of Zoning Appeals where I am currently serving as chairman. This is my ninth year of service on this board.

I have also served on many other committees that have directed the Planning Department on how to create new zoning ordinances. Some of these are the Building Our Future, University Parkway Overlay and the Walnut Street Overlay committees. I have also been involved with the downtown revitalization starting with Save Our Train Station & the Johnson City Development Authority Physical Planning Committee as the Downtown Action Coalition representative.

I believe with all of this governmental experience & vision of how Washington County can be. I also believe I have the leadership to help take the county into a new direction.

There should only be one commissioner per district. This will save the county $70,000 a year in salary alone. The county paid healthcare for commissioners must go too. More savings will come from that.
