John Hunter Washington County Commission 4th district

John Hunter grew up here in the mountains of upper East Tennessee, and is proud to call Washington Co./ Johnson City home. He chose to raise his family here, and feels a deep obligation to our community.  He serves on the Johnson City Board of Dwelling Standards, the Johnson City Seniors Center Council, Johnson City Homebuilders Association, and co-founded his neighborhoods association.  With rising property taxes, shortfalls in budgets for education and an unsustainable debt load that we in Washington County are facing, John has become increasingly concerned about the future of our county.  John is a community banker that understands how to read a balance sheet, & believes that government should not spend beyond its means.  As a commissioner for the 4th district, John will strive to eliminate health insurance for commissioners, advocate for a reduction in the size of the commission, keep taxes low, endeavor to make the county run more efficiently, and promote a true cohesion between city & county to develop a vibrant central city.  It is time for real solutions and strong leadership for the 4th district.  If you have questions about John or the commission race in the 4th district feel free to call 914-9448.
